Hay-on-Wye is situated to the West of Hereford and is literally on the English/Welsh border with the main town on the Welsh side. It os also known as the "Town of Books" due to its many bookshops. It is world famous for its Literary Festival held at the end of May each year
About Chris Day
Originally from London's East End I now live in Hillingdon West London. Many years ago I had a home darkroom where I developed, and printed, both colour and black and white films. However, the costs of the materials, plus a house move, meant I was no longer able to process my own images. I still used my trusty Nikon F2 as often as I could but again costs meant I restricted myself to the amount of photographs I could take. Since the introduction of digital photography and the digital darkroom, which coincided with me owning my first PC, I have had a number of compact digital cameras and was able to start to enjoy photography again.
