Windsor Castle, Royal Standard flying, as seen from Alexandra Park. Windsor Castle, the largest and oldest occupied castle in the world, is one of the official residences of Her Majesty The Queen. The Castle's dramatic site encapsulates 900 years of British history. It covers an area of 26 acres and contains, as well as a royal palace, a magnificent chapel and the homes and workplaces of a large number of people.

Originally from London's East End I now live in Hillingdon West London. Many years ago I had a home darkroom where I developed, and printed, both colour and black and white films. However, the costs of the materials, plus a house move, meant I was no longer able to process my own images. I still used my trusty Nikon F2 as often as I could but again costs meant I restricted myself to the amount of photographs I could take. Since the introduction of digital photography and the digital darkroom, which coincided with me owning my first PC, I have had a number of compact digital cameras and was able to start to enjoy photography again.
